Class: Merchant and Mills Reversible Bucket Hat with Sarah, Friday October 24, 2-5PM
Join Sarah in sewing a reversible bucket hat by Merchant and Mills!
A classic lined bucket hat to keep the sunshine or rain at bay. A wonderful project to make as gifts (of course after you make a couple for yourself first). The hat can be made reversible with contrast lining fabric. Sizes offered: M-XL
Skill Level: You need to be able to sew a straight line, back tack, sew a zig zag, thread & unjam your machine, and wind your bobbin. If you don't have any experience with sewing machines, check out our Meet Your Machine class or any of our “Absolute Beginner” classes first.
Sizing + Fabric Requirements: See photos for sizing + fabric requirements chart
What to Bring:
-
Outer Fabric (1/2 yard for narrow brim, 2/3 yard for wide brim): Suggested fabrics are oilskin, mid-weight cotton canvas, 8-13 oz denim, 5-10 oz linen
- Lining Fabric (1/3 yard): For lining we'd suggest a light-mid weight woven fabric.
