Class: Sew a Birthday Crown with Sarah, Friday October 10, 2-4:30PM

Learn to make the cutest reusable birthday crown! Designed by Sarah to be adjustable for ages 1 all the way up to adults. A perfect gift for a special kid (or adult!) in your life! And no one says they can only wear it on their birthday... ;)

Skill Level: This is an advancing beginner class. You need to be have sewn a garment, quilt, bag or participated in a beginner sewing class prior to this class and feel comfortable using your machine.

What's Included: 

• Everything you need to make one birthday crown! Including Liberty of London lawn, linen or chambray for the backing, twill tape for the ties, batting, interfacing, & coordinating thread.  
• Lakes Makerie birthday crown pattern for your future use
• One custom embroidery pattern designed by Sarah for you to embroider a name on your crown 

Class Fee: The cost of this class is $90. The cost of instruction is $65 and the materials fee (required) is $25.

What to Bring:

• Sewing machine with basic accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc.). Bringing your own machine is encouraged, but studio machines are available—please reach out to info@lakesmakerie.com to reserve one after you register for class. Machines are limited.
• Basic tools (such as pins, marking tools, etc.) are provided in our studio for students. We do recommend that you bring your own pair of fabric scissors if you have them.
• If you'd like to use your own fabric to make your crown, feel free to bring it! You need pieces at least 19 by 6 inches 

Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 4 students to hold the class (if we're not able to run this class you'll be refunded). If you need to cancel within 1 week of the class, you will receive store credit.
