Himeji tannery was founded in 1955 in Tastuno, Hyogo prefacture. They originally made white leather for volleyballs. Their leathers are tanned only with natural ingredients to give a lustrous white finish and fine texture that takes dye beautifully.

Himeji white leather is good for people and the environment, tanned only with ingredients provided by nature, and no chemicals. Leather tanned this way is given a white finish with a fine texture that can then be dyed with beautiful colors.
