Class: Sew the Long Sleeved Collage Gather Top with Loren, Starts Tuesday October 14, 5:30-8:30PM (3 sessions)
Join Loren in making the Collage Gather Top View B. The perfect beginner garment sewing pattern that will help push your skills to the next level!
The Collage Gather Top is a classic box top with a twist. This versatile top is slightly cropped, hitting just below the natural waist, with gathered side panels and 2 sleeve views. View A is a simple cuff sleeve. View B has a 3/4 length drop shoulder gathered sleeve finished with a sleeve band. In this class we will be sewing View B which is a great advancing beginner pattern.
- Good practices for cutting out garment pieces
- Gathering
- Basic topstitching
- Inserting bias binding to finish a neckline
- Prewashed, dried and ironed fabric. If you have any questions about how much fabric or what kind of fabric to get, please feel free to stop in the shop or give us a call!! :)
- Coordinating thread
- Sewing machine with basic accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc.). Bringing your own machine is encouraged, but studio machines are available—please reach out to info@lakesmakerie.com to reserve one after you register for class. Machines are limited.
- Basic tools (such as pins, marking tools, etc.) are provided in our studio for students. We do recommend that you bring your own pair of fabric scissors if you have them.
Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 4 students to hold the class (if we're not able to run this class you'll be refunded). If you need to cancel within 1 week of the class, you will receive store credit.
