Class: Learn to Sew a Zipper Fly with Evan, Thursday October 30, 6-8PM
Do you want to make pants or a skirt with a zipper but are intimated by the fly? This is the class for you! In this class Evan will take you through his favorite method for putting in a zipper fly; he says you'll never do it another way again!
We'll have plenty of zippers and scrap fabric for you to practice on so there isn't the pressure of having an almost-finished project that needs a zipper. :)
Class Difficulty: Advancing Beginner. You need to have sewn a garment, quilt, bag or participated in a beginner sewing class prior to this class and feel comfortable using your machine.
What’s Included:
- Fabric and zippers (prepped ahead of time by Evan)
- Step-by-step video instructions for using Evan's zipper fly method at home!
Class Fee: The cost of instruction for this class is $55 and the kit fee (required) is $12, for a total class fee of $67.
What to Bring:
- Sewing machine with basic accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc.) and a zipper foot. We recommend bringing your own machine to learn on the one you’ll use at home as long as you have a zipper foot that works with your machine. Studio machines are also available (with zipper feet). Please let us know if you'd like to use one of our machines!
- Optional: Anything you find helpful when sewing at home!
Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 2 students to hold the class (if we're not able to run this class you'll be refunded). If you need to cancel within 1 week of the class, you will receive store credit.
