Class: Sew a Quilted Christmas Stocking with Sarah, Saturday December 6, 9AM-12PM

Join Sarah to make a lovely quilted Christmas stocking! We'll quilt (either by hand or by machine) a fully lined Christmas stocking in your choice of fabrics to grace your mantel or to give as a gift (every new baby needs a handmade Christmas stocking!). You'll leave with a pattern and instructions to make many more!

Skill Level: Advancing Beginner. You need to have sewn a garment, quilt, bag or participated in a beginner sewing class prior to this class and feel comfortable using your machine.

Class Fee: The cost of this class is $90. The cost of instruction is $75 and the materials fee (required) is $15 and includes the stocking pattern and batting. 

Fabric Requirements: This project takes 2/3 yard each of two fabrics in cotton or linen (for stocking and lining) and coordinating (or contrasting) thread. Choose a natural linen/cotton blend, as in our example, or choose something more Christmassy from our Rifle Paper Co. Holiday Classics or Little House Christmas Sweater Collections. We will supply the batting. 

What to Bring:

• Coordinating thread
  
• Sewing machine with basic accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc.). Bringing your own machine is encouraged, but studio machines are available—please reach out to info@lakesmakerie.com to reserve one after you register for class. Machines are limited. 
  

Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 4 registered students to hold the class. (If we do not hold the class you will be refunded). If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
