Class: Swoon Holiday Block, Starts Thursday December 4, 12-3PM

Join Grace Martin to learn to create her very favorite quilt block: Thimbleblossom's Swoon block! This large, dramatic block showcases your favorite holiday prints.

During the first class (12/4), we will select and cut our fabrics. You will learn to create half-square triangles and flying geese units. During our second class (12/11), we will construct the entire block and admire the results! 

You can use this finished block for a holiday pillow cover, wallhanging, table decor, or the start to a full holiday quilt!  

This class is intended for students who are comfortable using their sewing machine, sewing an accurate 1/4" seam allowance, and have basic quilting skills. 

What to Bring:

• Machine + accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc)
• Basic tools are provided in our studio for students. However, feel free to bring you own tools for your personal use. 

You will be able to select from a variety of holiday fat quarters and receive a copy of the pattern. 

We recommend bringing your own machine so you can continue to learn the ins and outs of sewing on your home machine! If you need, we offer studio machines to use upon request. Machines are limited. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@lakesmakerie.com for more info.

Instruction fee is $125, kit fee is $25, for a total class cost of $150

This class is limited to 4 students.

If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
