The City Dress is a modern, easy-to-wear dress designed for comfort and effortless style. View A features elbow-length wide sleeves and a stylish notched neckline. View B is sleeveless and features a deep V-neckline, perfect for warm weather or layering over a tee or turtleneck.

Both versions share a slightly A-line shape, above-the-knee length, and decorative seamlines that add modern detail and structure. Whether you choose denim, linen, or cotton, the City Dress transitions effortlessly from casual to chic.

 

This is a digital PDF pattern that includes sizes US 0-24 / EU 30-54. 

 

Skill Level: 2/4. This dress sewing pattern is perfect for adventurous beginners. The City Dress is a rewarding project, with fully illustrated instructions guiding you through each step.

What You'll Need: 

  • Fabric: Choose light to medium woven fabrics such as cotton or linen. The red dress is made with seer sucker, the blue one in denim.
  • Notions: Sewing thread and interfacing 
  • Tools: Basic sewing tools and a sewing machine.

PDF Pattern Features: The color pattern is printable in Letter, A4, and A0 formats, with an additional projector file for easy cutting.

 

Delivery Details: This is a digital sewing pattern, not a physical copy.

 

When you purchase this pattern, you can download the PDF files from the order confirmation screen. You will also receive an email with a link to download the pattern. 


To receive a printed copy of this PDF pattern, select “Digital PDF Pattern + Large Format Printing.” We'll print the pattern out on our large format printer ($3.50/page). We are happy to ship the pattern to you or set it aside for in store pickup. Your pattern will be folded for shipping or rolled for local pickup. 


We do not print pattern instructions, only the large format pattern pages. You can print the instructions at home on US printer paper if you'd like (or just view them from your device).
