Designed to stand the test of time, you'll be using high end finishing techniques to create a really long lasting pair of trousers.

Skill level: Intermediate (you will need extra focus for the fly area)

Construction techniques include concealed button fly or zip fly with binding detailing, side pockets, patch pockets, flat felled seam, and waistband & belt loops.

Sizing: UK Sizes 4 - 28 (with PDF Layers) 

The Worker Trousers are slightly lower on the high waisted spectrum, sitting comfortably above the hip but not too high up the waist. They are cut to fit neatly on the body & hips and then flare slightly on the thigh and taper in again at the ankle.

Suitable fabrics: The Worker Trouser works very well in structured heavy to mid weight twills, drills, denims and canvas fabrics. Lighter twills and denims are lovely in the summer and the lighter weight fabrics will give you a slightly looser fit. Before you start check you can easily sew through 5 layers of your chosen fabric. 

Fabric requirements: Modern Sewing Co.'s lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage.

Additional materials: Fabric for pocket bags & binding - a 40cm strip of lightweight cotton (any width of fabric), 4 x big buttons (around 2.5-3cm) or 1 x big button and 15cm zip, thread, about 40cm of good quality fusing

Delivery details: This is a digital sewing pattern. When you complete your order you'll have the option to download the PDF files right away from the order confirmation screen and you'll also get an email through our app SendOwl with a link to download the pattern. 

If you'd like Lakes Makerie in-house large format printing ($3.50/page), select the appropriate variant. We do not print the instructions, only the large format pattern pages. You'll be able to print the instructions at home on US printer paper if you'd like (or just view them from your device). Your pattern will be folded for shipping, or rolled for local pickup.
