Suitable Fabrics:
This pattern can be sewn with a wide variety of fabrics, but in our testing we found that medium weight fabrics work best. These would include fabrics like wool suiting, cotton canvas, denim and other twill weave cottons, linen, and flannel. If you choose a polyester or poly blend fabric, make sure to test that your fabric will hold a pressed pleated before cutting and sewing your final garment.

Thinner fabrics or fabrics with more drape can work as well; however, these fabrics can be more difficult to sew, may be more sheer, and may not hold a pressed pleat. Keep this in mind when choosing your fabric. For thinner fabrics, consider silk, satin, quilting cotton, and seersucker.
