Class: Fit You Cozy Pants with Jenny, Mondays June 1 & 8, 10AM-1PM (2 sessions)

Expand your skill set and learn how to draft a pattern and sew a pair of comfy pants that are unique to you! Jenny will guide you through some basic flat pattern making principles using a few simple measurements. You will leave with a pair of elastic waist pants cozy enough to sleep in, yet cute enough to wear out and about. Through this process you will gain the knowledge needed to adjust existing pants patterns to better fit you. 

Skill Level: Advancing Beginner. You should be familiar with sewing garments from paper patterns and comfortable using your machine. 

What You'll Learn: 

• Some flat pattern making skills 
• Basic pants fitting principles 
• How to alter existing pants patterns to fit your unique shape 
• How to draft a simple elastic waist pants pattern 

Class Fee: The cost of this class is $350. This includes elastic and all pattern making supplies needed to complete the project, as well as a take-home template (aka "sloper") unique to you. 

Class Schedule: This class meets on Mondays June 1 & 8 from 10AM-1PM. There may be some homework in between sessions. 

What to Bring:

• Sewing machine & accessories (Let us know if you need to borrow a studio machine!)
• Your preferred sewing tools (many provided in the studio) 
• 2.5 yards of cotton fabric and coordinating thread 

Fabric Recommendations: May we suggest a Liberty Tana Lawn for a cool and comfy pair of jammy pants that feel like you're wearing peach skin? Or one of our Japanese laws for som whimsical fun? Art Gallery Organic Solids are a great choice for those preferring to forego pattern. Any cotton woven will do. Please let us know (call or email) or come into the shop if you need help choosing! 

Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of 4 students to hold the class (if we're not able to run this class you'll be refunded). If you need to cancel within 1 week of the class, you will received store credit.
