Sew the gorgeous Wilder Gown from Friday Pattern Co!
The Wilder is a shop favorite and a perfect party dress. This raglan sleeve dress is tiered and sinch ties at the neckline. It is also very customizable, offering an option for short or long sleeves. You'll add to your skillset by making practicing your hems, gathering, creating tie channels and more!
This class is for a confident beginner. You should know how to thread your machine, wind your bobbin, running the machine and locking off your stitches.
This class is structured into 4 sessions as follows. There is allotted time to cut out your fabric in the first class.
Tuesday July 9: 5:30-8:00 PM
Tuesday July 16: 5:30-8:00 PM
Tuesday July 23: 5:30-8:00 PM
Tuesday July 30: 5:30-8:00 PM
What to bring:
- Traced and Cut paper pattern. Once you sign up for the class, you will be sent an email notification to pick up your pattern at the shop during shop hours.
- Prewashed, dried and ironed fabric. Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, cotton lawn, linen, Brussels Washer, etc. Please refer to the fabric chart photo for yardage requirements.
*We are available during shop hours to answer any basic sizing and fabric questions.
- coordinating or contrasting thread
- Basic tools are provided in our studio for students. However, feel free to bring you own tools such as scissors, pins and marking tools for your personal use.
- Machine + accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbins, manual)
We recommend bringing your own machine so you can continue to learn the ins and outs of sewing on your home machine! If you need, we offer studio machines to use upon request. Machines are limited. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@lakesmakerie.com for more info.
- Snacks and Water.
We require 3 students to hold the class. If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
