Assembly Line, Cuff Top Pattern, Sweden

1 review

This is our number one best selling pattern! We dare you to make just one!

Easy and satisfying to make yet elegant, the Cuff Top is our most loved pattern and almost addictive to make. It has a straight fit and cap sleeves with wide elastic cuffs. The first size range (XS-L) comes with a pullover boat neck and does not have darts. The second size range (XL-4XL) has darts a keyhole opening with a button at back.

To optimize fit, see finished garment measurements (these patterns tend to run a little large).

Note that the sleeve length can be easily lengthened with a simple hack.

Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight fabrics such as cotton, silk, lawn, linen, rayon challis, crepe de chine or wool crepe, velvet, baby wale corduroy. We especially love this top in our Japanese seersucker.

Cuff Top

I made a wearable muslin using some linen I found at SR Harris. Size XS. Straight forward instructions. The top came together quickly. Next time I will lower the front neckline a bit and grade the front seam to remove some of the excess fabric at the bust line. I serged the bottom edge and hemmed it up 2”; I don’t plan to tuck it in. Cute top and definitely wearable!
