Sew Liberated, Estuary Skirt Pattern
The Estuary is an easy-to-sew, elastic-backed waist, a-line skirt with patch pockets (A) or in-seam pockets (B). It can be sewn with a full button placket or with a faux-front placket, simply sewing the buttons through all layers, omitting the button holes. The Estuary Skirt is designed for woven fabrics. Look for mid-weight linens and linen blends, soft cottons, silk noil, rayon challis, cotton ikat, and light- to mid-weight chambray or denim. If you want to extend the skirt beyond the midi-length (25-1/4" (64 cm)), add 5" (13 cm) to your fabric usage for each inch of added length.
