Merchant & Mills, The Denham Jacket Paper Pattern
Inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat mid-season piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.
Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of Merchant & Mills patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.
This is a traditional paper pattern in an envelope that comes in 2 separate size ranges: UK6-18 or UK18-28. If you would like a digital PDF version of this pattern, go here.

For sizing, finished garment measurements, and fabric requirements see the charts in photos.
Fabric Suggestions: Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.
For linings cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.
You'll Also Need:
- Matching thread
- 16 x 2cm / 3/4" buttons*
- Optional (recommended for most fabric): 0.9M/1YD interfacing.
- If making an unlined jacket you will need 0.4M / 1/2YD of lining for the pocket bags.
*Option - 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and lapel, in which case you will need: 13 x 2cm / 3/4" and 3 x 1.5cm / 1/2" buttons.
