Beautiful cotton barkcloth from Cathi Bressel-Browne AKA Gertrude Made, Australia. (if you're interested in what “barkcloth” is and how it was made, here’s a link https://blog.colettehq.com/inspiration/barkcloth to a great article from Colette) The fabric line “Outback Wife” is the first designed by Cathi Bessel-Browne, who is the heart and hands behind Gertrude Made. The pictures above are of beautiful garments and quilts on display at their booth at market. Each of the Outback Wife designs is named after a specific rural Australian woman and dedicated to her story of strength, passion and courage. This fabric is really special and was made available in very limited quantities in the US, so we felt lucky to get our hands on some.
