Class: Tools of the Trade: Tailor's Ham and Sausage with Kim: Friday March 29, 1-5 pm
Otherwise known as "Sewing Charcuterie"... In this fun class you will make your own tailors ham and sausage sleeve roll, both old and traditional tailor's tools. Then you'll learn how to use them when pressing your handmade projects to achieve beautiful results. With detailed guidance, you'll measure and draft your own pattern template!
$80.00 class price, materials fee is $13 (includes pine shavings and muslin) for a total class price of $93
What to Bring:
- 18 in x 22 in piece of medium weight cotton fabric
- 18 in x 22 in piece of wool or cotton flannel fabric
- coordinating thread
- Machine + accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc)
- Basic tools are provided in our studio for students. However, feel free to bring you own tools for your personal use.
We recommend bringing your own machine so you can continue to learn the ins and outs of sewing on your home machine! If you need, we offer studio machines to use upon request. Machines are limited. Please feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
We will require a minimum of 3 registered students to hold the class. (If we do not hold the class you will be refunded). If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
