Beginning quilting with Grace

Want to learn to quilt? Join Grace in this three-part class. Together, we will create a gorgeous and useful quilted tote bag using precut, five-inch squares. You will learn to cut fabric accurately using a rotary cutter, piece fabric with a 1/4" seam allowance, press your quilt blocks, chain piece, and create your quilt block. We will also learn to baste and quilt straight lines with a walking foot.

The class is structured in three parts:

Thursday, April 15, 12 -3 PM: We will select fabrics, cut fabrics, and create the front and back panels for our bags.

Thursday, April 22, 12-3 PM: We will baste and quilt our panels.

Thursday, April 29, 12-3 PM: We will finish quilting our panels and construct our bags.

The instruction fee is $180, the kit fee (required) is $15 and includes one charm pack, some background fabric, and the pattern  - for a total class fee of $195.
