Beginning quilting with Starry Jane
Want to create your very own quilt? Join Grace In this three-part class, we will create a gorgeous crib-sized quilt using precut, five-inch squares. You will learn to cut fabric accurately using a rotary cutter, piece fabric with a 1/4" seam allowance, press your quilt blocks, chain piece, and create your quilt block. During the final class, we will baste your quilt and discuss your options for quilting and binding.
The class is structured in three parts as follows:
Tuesday, November 5: 12 -3 PM
Tuesday, November 12: 12-3 PM
Tuesday, November 19:12-3 PM
The class fee is $180, the kit fee (required) is $10 and includes two fabric charm packs and the pattern - for a total fee of $190.
What to bring:
- coordinating or contrasting thread (thread can also be bought in the shop during the class)
- Basic tools are provided in our studio for students. However, feel free to bring you own tools for your personal use if desired.
- Machine + accessories (foot pedal, power cord, bobbin, etc)
- Machine Manual
Space is limited to 4 students. (If we do not hold the class you will be refunded). If you need to cancel later than 1 week before class is held, you will receive store credit.
