Class: Sew the Kenilworth Zipper Pouch Class, May 19 (Thursday) 6:30-8:30 PM
Zippers pouches are useful for storing and organizing all the "thisses and thats" that life accumulates. I especially like them to keep my projects contained and portable. They also make a sweet way to present a gift. You may not believe this, but zippers and linings are super easy to sew! (trust me). You'll learn two easy ways to insert zippers and leave with instructions to make more pouches when you get home. Instructions, black of white thread and nylon coil zippers are provided.
Supplies: Choose your favorite fabrics. Suggested outer fabrics include canvas, denim, linen, quilting weight cotton, oilskin, wool and even flannel! Cotton, poplin or lawn work for the lining. Fabric requirements will depend on the size and number of pouches you want to tackle, but 2 fat quarter yards of fabric.
This is a beginner friendly project, prior sewing machine experience helpful, but not required.
Very relaxing and personalized instruction. I cannot wait to try another class!
