Portraits of Water, Beginning Embroidery, April 21 (Thursday) 6:30-8:30 PM
In Minneapolis, we love our chain of lakes, it seems like everyone has a favorite lake to walk around, ski or skate on, paddle on, swim in or just visit for a dose of nature in the heart of the city.
Like visiting a lake, hand embroidery is calming, relaxing, and meditative. Join us while we paint portraits of our Minneapolis Chain of Lakes in thread. No sewing experience necessary, we'll teach you how.
$60.00 includes fabric, pattern, threads, needle and hoop.
Choose your Lake: Bde Maka Ska, Lake of the Isles, Cedar, Harriet, Nokomis (not pictured) or a pattern of circular surface ripples. Choose your fabric: Ivory, Flax, or Pale Blue Linen-Cotton. Your finished product will be 15" square and suitable for hanging in a frame or hoop, making into small pillow, or incorporating into a quilt.
We would like to do this as as in person class at the shop, but plan B will be a zoom class. If you would be interested in a zoom version of this class on another date, please reach out.
Registration closes on April 13. Cancellations after this date will receive store credit. We will require a minimum of 5 registered students to hold the class. (If we do not hold the class you will be refunded)
We respectfully request that in-person class participants are vaccinated/boosted for Covid-19. We will not require proof of vaccination. Masking requirements will be based on local case positivity rates. You always have the option to wear a mask.
